DRF Representative Speaks at the BIS Select Committee
DRF sent a representative to the BIS Select Committee to represent the fee-charging industry.
I am delighted to be able to tell you that, following our submission of written evidence (which was circulated to members for comment) to the Parliamentary Select Committee for the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills, DRF was invited, at short notice, to give oral evidence to the committee on Tuesday 29 November.
Our witness was DRF’s external affairs advisor, Andrew Smith, as a representative who did his utmost to demonstrate why DRF members can be trusted, to show that fee-charging debt advice has a role to play in the future of debt resolution and to outline the opportunities government has to create a best of breed personal debt resolution culture for Britain.
An audio feed of the committee session can be found below. In a few days time, a written transcription of the evidence will be available and we will provide the link to members.
DRF will be answering written queries from the Select Committee in the next few days and we will continue to work strenuously to represent your interests.
Yours sincerely,
David Mond
