Money Advice Service seek support from DRF members on debt advice survey to identify the availability across the UK. The study is being carried out to understand the scale and location of debt advice services across the UK so that the Money Advice Service can deliver a comprehensive review of the availability and nature of debt advice services.
Debt Resolution Forum have favored Office of Fair Trading’s powers to suspend rogue debt companies consumer credit licences. It is believed this will create further consumer confidence.
DRF regularly sent out newsletters to their member base to update them on regulatory, training and compliance matters affecting their businesses.
A new voluntary code for Debt Management Plan is to be discussed.The Debt Management Protocol would affect every aspect of a firms debt management activities. DRF have been involved with these discussions and have prompted members to get involved.
